Sharing how I created a Mamaearth Clone, remotely, in 4 days

“ This was a team project so I collaborated with Shalendra Singh, Sohail Shaikh and Ankur my batchmates at Masai School. We have implemented all the technologies that we learned in Masai School till now. With much of our efforts we have cloned the front-end part and added the functionality. I am thankful to masai school and my teammates to collaborate in such a good manner and gave their 100 percent for this project. ”

Introduction

The Mamaearth company is an India brand and is based out of Gurugram, Haryana. It was founded by Varun and Ghazal Alagh in 2016 to provide toxin-free, natural baby care, skin care, and hair care products. Mamaearth is Natural & Toxin Free Products Company. Mamaearth, as a brand, has always championed local ingredients and age-old recipes. All their products are designed and Made in India.

We four never met each other in person. This was our first collaboration and it was totally via online mode.

First Day, 02/02/2021

First thing was we had a look to the original website and decided what all can be created with the knowledge that we have. Mamaearth is different from other e-commerce website in terms of login . To login in mamaearth you first need to buy a product as a guest than with the number you provided in details you can login. So we decided that we will fetch the data from mock server so we created some API’s and stored the data there. As Shailendra was working on the landing page me and sohail decided to create the mock server and create all the pages with products details dynamically. Mean while Ankur was working on the login page and its authentication.

Second Day, 03/02/2021

On second day our target was to give functionality to all the pages. So, I gave the functionality of filtering the products category wise. Shalendra was working on the homepage and its functionality. At the end of the day our website was working dynamically.

Third Day, 04/02/2021

A new day with some new tasks. So we started our work and at the end of day we were able to search the products, filter them category wise, login authentication was working. It was a satisfying day.

Fourth Day, 05/02/2021

Shalendra implemented the add to cart functionality and now a customer can buy a product from our website. After buying a product customer can login from the number provided in details.
